Rick Friedberg became a great director the best way possible... he spent 12 years as an editor, cutting hundreds of commercials for some of the best in the business. He learned how to tell a story, and he tells a great one whether its a 30 second commercial, a feature or episodic TV.
He has directed in France, Germany, Italy, Australia, Mexico and Venezuela. His feature directorial/writing prowess includes "Spyhard", starring Leslie Nielson & Nicollette Sheridan, "Pray TV" with Pee Wee Herman & Dabney Coleman, and "Off The Wall" with Paul Sorvino & Roseanna Arquette. On the more serious side his theatrical short "Rodeo Cowboy" went on to win the San Francisco, Atlanta and American Film Festivals as well as a Cine Golden Eagle. Recognized by his dialogue driven, often comedic spots Rick gets a great performance out of the stars he has worked with in his commercials and music videos; whether it's Charlie Sheen, Dudley Moore, Leslie Nielson, Ally Sheedy, Chevy Chase or Rodney Dangerfield. His Van Halen "Hot For Teacher" is still an MTV classic.
