Garry Odom has been pretty busy the last 25 years having directed & produced in just about every genre ie: live concerts, game, award, talk, news, variety, comedy, sporting & corporate events. He started out working as an editor, technical director/audio engineer for a local news station KICU in San Jose, California where he worked his way up to directing for the local news.

While freelancing at KRON & KPIX television in San Francisco he was asked to join the legendary Bill Grahm Presents, where Garry spent the next 10 years directing live shows in every music genre and still continues today. He has directed Tina Turner, Kiss, Eminem, Toni Braxton, Earth, Wind & Fire, REM, Sting, The Dave Mathews Band, James Taylor, Mary J. Blige, Willie Nelson, Outkast, Snoop Dog, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins & BB King, throughout the U.S. and Europe, to name just a few. He gave up trying to count after around 1,200 concerts.

No stranger to comedy he has directed D.L.Hughley, George Lopez, Steve Harvey, Jeff Foxworthy, Rosie O’Donnell, Tommy Davidson, Bill Bellamy, Carlos Mencia and Carol Burnett. In addition to directing The San Francisco, San Jose & Disney Symphonies, the fast paced stage show of Tap Dogs, The Tibetan Freedom Concert, and most recently The Newport Jazz Festival. He has even directed The Cirque Du Soliel for a show in Bali, (it’s a rough gig but someone has to do it!)

Garry Odom has handled numerous directing assignments for FOX, VH1,MTV, CBS, BET, NBC, The Gurin Company, Viacom & IMAG.
